The new Occupational Therapy facility at ACU Canberra Campus on Phillip Avenue was designed to simulate a domestic residential setting with all fixtures and fittings functioning and compliant with Australian Standards and DDA requirements.

Existing spaces were combined and refurbished to include a learning / teaching space with Sim Capture capabilities and domestic spaces such as living, kitchen, dining, bathroom, laundry, toilet, and relevant storage spaces. This unique project required residential facilities to be incorporated into an existing office and teaching building, and infrastructure was modified to successfully achieve the required functionality of the space.
